Kate and William got a daughter – Fædrelandsvennen

The girl was born in time 9:34 Norwegian time. Everything will be fine with mother and child. The girl weighing 3.7 kg, reports Kensington Palace on Twitter. Prince William was present at the birth.

The birth occurred in Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the same hospital where Prince George was born on 22 July 2013.

The birth went quickly. Duchess Kate of Cambridge was hospitalized at 7 Norwegian time, and only two and a half hours later came the news that the princess was born. As was already the queen, grandfather Prince Charles, Kate’s parents and uncle Prince Harry informed birth, according to Kensington Palace.

Press from around the world gathered outside the hospital when it was known the Duchess Kate was added to give birth. The most ardent royalists have been in place outside the hospital for two weeks and cheer as the birth was announced.

Prime Minister David Cameron was quick to congratulate.

– I’m happy for them, writes Cameron on Twitter. Also Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Labour leader Ed Miliband was instantly out with congratulations.

The Princess grandfather, Prince Charles, said Thursday that he hoped the new grandchild was a girl.

Speculation is now underway on what the little princess be named.

– I’m guessing that Diana is one of the names, and possibly Elizabeth. The royals have the more names. But what the first name is, as the being used daily, it is difficult to clear. The young royal boilers never as much to tradition as it was done previously, says NTB longtime royal expert Wibecke Lie.

A name that is tipped by many is Alice, but it may take several days before the name becomes known. Britain’s new princess is the fourth in line to the throne after his grandfather Prince Charles, father Prince William and brother Prince George.

Prince William and Kate are very popular among the British, and the British royal house stands strong. Recently, seven out of ten Britons that they support the royal house. The support will not diminish after Saturday princess birth.

– Birthdays and weddings are always events that strengthen support for the royal house. It’s nice events that get very much push and positive attention, says Wibecke Lie.

Prince William has taken leave from his job as a pilot in the air ambulances before the royal birth, enlightened prince’s office on 21 April. He will not be back at work before June 1, according to an official in Kensington Palace.

Kensington Palace announced in September that Kate was pregnant and that she struggled with morning sickness, which she did during her first pregnancy.

Lindo Wing, where the duchess gave birth, taking around 6,000 pounds, equivalent to around 68,000 Norwegian kroner for a birth, but the Duchess receive a discount of 10 per cent since it is her second children, according to news agency AFP.

To celebrate the little princess birth gets fired 62 gun salute from the Tower of London and 41 from Green Park.
