(Page2): This week the Norwegian blockbuster ‘Captain Jack and the treasure of Rama Lama “finally premiered.
Took over the role
Odd-Magnus Williamson has taken over the role Langmann by Håvard Bakke. He has given a large portion awe.
– It was both scary and fun to play Langmann, who is so well done by Håvard Bakke years. It is special to go and take someone else’s character. But it was fun to create their own version, a slightly different Langmann, he says.
Pia Tjelta plays Lang Mann’s dream lady, Rosa.
– Pink is Langmans kryptonite. The only one who dares to confront him, correct him. It’s cool with such a “love story.” It is not the classic pirate and graceful princess. Rosa is tougher than Langmann, says Williamson.
– Deprived of much of his childhood?
Tjelta wish that we could become better acquainted with the rugged pair.
– I want them to be action heroes in a new movie. A spin off of Rosa and Langmann, she laughs.
She had no close relationship with Sabretooth universe before she got the part.
– I only had a relationship as mother, who has seen countless movies and show in Kristiansand and washed out a good portion Sunniva dresses. But I’ve never taken a dive in character universe, she said.
Williamson knew even less about the king of the sea.
– I was an adult when Sabertooth occurred – I think at least that I was too big for it, or maybe Mom and dad never said anything about it because they thought it was too expensive to travel to Kristiansand? Maybe I’m deprived of much of their childhood? he exclaims.
Did GI Joe and Colargol
When Williamson was growing up, the American super heroes were the toughest.
– I liked GI Joe. And He-Man. But not Star Wars, he said.
– I remember looking at the bear Colargol smiles Tjelta.
– Yyyy, for a boring answer! Williamson believes.
Growls
Kyrre Haugen Sydness the role of Captain Jack himself. He grew up without a TV, so he did not have a close relationship with either GI Joe or Colargol.
– But I had a lot of fun in the woods. There, I imagined the one and the other, from cowboys and Indians to superheroes. I also liked the pirates from Playmobil, but I never got the big pirate ship, he said.
For generations of children, it’s Captain Jack is the big hero. It is therefore important to play the role so that children endorse him. Especially the voice of Sabretooth is important.
– I tried to find the inner engine. Captain Sabertooth motor is to find gold – he is constantly hungry, he will always want more, never get enough. Since he is always hungry, I came up with a growl. From there, came the voice, he says.
Do not expose the secret
He uses multiple voice techniques to avoid being tired voice after long days of growl. Currently, he has not lost his voice along the way.
– It has never happened, knock on wood, he smiles.
We ask whether he has given some thought to who Jack really is?
– Yes. Sentence, he says, and smiles.
– I have a clear background fable that says who he is. Among other things, why he paints herself. But if I tell it to everybody, mystery vanish, he said.
Will take adults too
Directors John Andreas Andersen and Lisa Marie Gamlem says that not only is Jack who has a background fable.
– It is important that we take the characters 100 percent seriously, we can not only look superficially at them, says Gamlem.
They have, not only wanted to make a movie for children. They want the parents will enjoy themselves in court.
– It requires a second thought to achieve it. We have a writer that this splitting, so that some jokes goes to the adults and some children, she says.
Filmed in England, Morocco and Thailand. then they were abroad, they realized that it is different to work with film outside Norway.
– A simple scene where someone runs out of the jungle and the beach, would in Norway required a staff of ten people. When I so the list of who should have lunch in Thailand, there was 120 people, says Andersen.
Encourage 4-year-olds to come
Although the film has been age seven years, Williamson finally a message to all parents.
– This is a film that has received a string age. But I think 3-4 year olds also stand to watch it. We ‘ve been trying Views, and then it was full of kidz in the hall, and no one went. So I think smaller children can also come and see the film, he says.
