Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor may be taken off the market. Saturday it was announced that the star has married.
Many years spokesperson for the actor, Stan Rosenfield, has stated that the actor has married a human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in a private ceremony in Venice Saturday, writes CBS News.
The ceremony, according to the BBC have taken place at the luxurious Aman, just off the Grand Canal, the city’s main traffic artery.
The short message is that only as communicated from the wedding. Clooney himself has said very little about marriage in advance of this weekend’s celebration.

The couple arrived at Venice before the weekend, for what is perhaps the year’s biggest celebrity wedding. Before the weekend was the messages that the big party will be held Saturday, but that the actual marriage ceremony for Clooney and his fiancee Alamuddin would take place Monday. The reason was that the couple will marry a commoner, and it is expected that Venice’s canals will be closed in connection with the wedding.
According to the British newspaper The Telegraph, the star couple have asked guests to not bring mobile phones and tablets to the three-day wedding celebration – to prevent unauthorized photos leaked to the international press.
Time Magazine writes that the couple were married by their close friend Walter Veltroni, a former mayor of Rome.
Sold wedding
The Telegraph writes that the couple should have sold the rights to the wedding pictures of American Vogue, against the prestigious fashion magazine donate a sum to a charitable organization.
The bride arrived in Italy on Wednesday. According to The Telegraph, it was expected that 36-year-old would give his yes to Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor in a wedding dress signed the British fashion house Alexander McQueen. According to U.S. Weekly the couple celebrated by, among others, Clooney’s good friend Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, actress and model Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber (which is expected to be Clooney’s best man) and actress couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski .
It was also expected that the distinguished guests as the star couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Bono from U2 should participate in Sunday’s grand celebration.
