The Grammy-nominated artist Jewel (41) which is now current with their twelfth album, Picking up the pieces, now tells about the beginning of his career was no bed of roses.
20 years after she started her career, she said the following to The Hollywood Reporter:
– Music industry is a very male-dominated industry. I lay me never to the top, never. There was never a moment where I would compromise with it. I was always willing to go there from. I think the type of setting allows everyone around you understands. But you know, I’ve heard many stories to the contrary, she says the magazine.
She believes the most vulnerable women have the toughest in the music industry.
– I saw that women would surrender only for a compliment. I felt that men were willing to exploit someone if they saw someone who was vulnerable, she says to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jewel started her career as a young girl, and already from eight-year-old began deals about lie to the top to come.
