OSLO / LOS ANGELES (AP) In the night shared Oscar awards out in Los Angeles, where Norway has nine chances to win. When 20 awards are dealt, “The Imitation Game” received one.
Among pre favorites is “Birdman” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” with nine nominations each, and “Boyhood” and “American Sniper” which is nominated in six categories. This year actor Neil Patrick Harris, known from “How I Met Your Mother,” lead the star-studded show.

The show started 2:30 Monday night Norwegian time, and kicked off with a song number with Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris, accompanied by Anna Kendrick and Jack Black.

Iñárritu, who also directs the film, thanks actors Michael Keaton, Edward Norton and Emma Stone to have gotten the movie to fly.
Julie Andrews, who was hailed in connection with “The Sound of Music ‘s 50th anniversary, which was also marked by Lady Gaga performed the song from the film, presented the award for Best Original Music – to Alexandre Desplat for” The Grand Budapest Hotel ” . Desplat was nominated for the music for two films – the other was Tyldum “The Imitation Game,” but instead he won tonight fourth award for Wes Anderson movie.
Standing ovation for John Legend

Naomi Watts and Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch presented the award for Best Film clipping to “Whiplash” – its third prize for the evening.
Meryl Streep held the annual introduction as thanks of all film workers and actors who have passed away in the past year. The pictures came up among others Sir Richard Attenborough, Mickey Rooney – and Robin Williams.

Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba presented the award for Best Cinematography, which went to “Birdman” Photographer Emmanuel Lubezki, who got the film to look like it was filmed in one take. Delete no surprise.

No Oscar for Kove
Kevin Hart and Anna Kendrick presented the award in the category Best Animated Short, where Torill Kove was nominated for “Moulton and me,” but the price went to “Feast”.

Arquette thanked both Oscar Academy, “Boyhood” -family and their mednominerte and finished thanking with a tribute to the women’s movement:
– For all women who have had all taxpayers – it’s our time to get equal pay and equal rights for women in the USA! Said the actress to the cheers of the audience.
Her mednominerte Meryl Streep almost got up from his chair and shook his fist in support Arquette.

Neil Patrick Harris also went with a parody of the scene in “Birdman” where Michael Keaton’s character being shut out of the theater in just underpants right before he goes on stage, and must run around the whole theater to get to the scene. Harris ran through the hallways at Dolby Theatre in white panties, before he ended up back on stage.
Kerry Washington and Jason Bateman presented the award for Best live action short film for “The Phone Call “and the award for Best documentary short film to” Crisis Hotline. “
Nicole Kidman and Chiwetel Ejiofor presented the award for Best Foreign Film, which went to Polish” Ida “, in competition with among others Golden Globe-winning “Leviathan.”

First award that was handed out was one of the coveted: Best Supporting Actor. Tradition was last year’s winner in the women’s class who shared out, Lupita Nyong’o.
The veteran JK Simmons won the award for his efforts as a jazz teacher in “Whiplash”. He is an experienced guy in the game, and perhaps best known for her role as the fast-talking editor of “Spider-Man.”
– Thanks to the Academy and all involved in the “Whiplash”! And I am grateful every day for the most wonderful person I know: My wife Michelle Schumacher said Simmons from the scene.
He also gave his wife credit for their three children had been so wonderful.
