(Page2): Liv Ullmann received a standing ovation for her “Miss Julie” during the world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.
The film received almost panegyric reviews on Twitter, but the big bransjebiblene Variety and The Hollywood Reporter called for a more time-appropriate approach and was rather lukewarm.
We all thought that movie enough to share both audiences and critics, but even thought that it was a violent, erotic Julie we saw.
But it’s all agree on is that Jessica Chastain doing a fantastic job as the unbridled Julie, the Baron’s daughter who does his utmost to push her father’s male servant in sexual ways. And that alternates between bare his total vulnerability, their hunger to be loved and their need to exercise power.
Chastain broke through as late as 2008, when she was 31 years old in the movie “Jolene.” She had already had a substantial theater career and was among other things, a favorite of Al Pacino.
Robin Williams
Another who according to her even “changed her whole life” was Robin Williams. It was in fact he who made the grant that got her into Juillard.
But that was Kathryn Bigelows action thriller “Zero Dark Thirty”, where she played the woman who found Osama bin Laden, who made her really big star.

Choosing Chastain to Miss Julie may seem odd. However, Ullmann chose a lady who is known to pick their roles with prudence and care. Despite the fact that not all films necessarily have been tumultuous commercial successes, they have made her one of Hollywood’s most respected.
Movies like “Take Shelter,” “Tree of Life”, “The Help” and especially horror film “Mama” has made her a popular woman for a number of directors who know that Chastain has an enormous scope.
That she also was prescient enough to refuse to play Princess Diana in the denigrated the film about her life, probably helped well.
Private Chastain together with the head of fashion brand Moncler and lives in New York. She is very little to see in the celebrity press.
Unknown everyone was tired of
– I am the unknown all already tired of, said the likeable lady for Vanity Fair when she was featured as the next big thing, While it took a long time her six (!) films were released.
Most pity she seems, however, on his mother repeatedly told her friends that her daughter would now play against some greatness, like Brad Pitt in “Tree of Life,” a film that took director Terrence Malick years to complete.
Chastain has been labeled the next Meryl Streep. When Time named the most influential people in 2012 she was suddenly on top 100
– When the French call a “formidable”, they mean amazing, ethereal, terrifying. These are words that come my remembrance when I first time saw Jessica Chastain’s work, wrote Gary Oldman according to the text.
Although Jessica has privately been known to be a sensitive person who would want all are doing well on set. But she hit her over the woman in Liv Ullmann, we believe an interview she gave to The Guardian in Toronto.
Just feelings
– Life is a person who is just feelings. It’s like she has no bones in the body. At one point she cried so much that Colin (Farrel) and I just stood there.
Soon you will see Jessica Chastain in “Interstellar,” “The Zookeeper’s Wife” and not least Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”.
