(Dagbladet): In an open letter to Nicole Kidman goes union Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) out against the actor.
They react to that Kidman has set up an advertising campaign for Etihad Airways, writes newspaper The Guardian.
union accuses Kidman to be double standards when she talks about women’s rights on behalf of the UN, but also taking advertising assignments for the airline. Kidman is ambassador for women’s rights in the UN.

– A month ago, on Women’s Day on March 8, you said “I envision a world where women and girls have equal opportunities and rights.” Now is the time to stand up for this, the leader of APFA in the letter.
The reason for the mind of the American flight attendants are claims sexist work practice in Qatar.
– Same week as you talked about women’s rights appeared up in an advertising campaign for an airline as the Wall Street Journal has established that terminates women who are pregnant, writes union further.
– These are matters which we AFPA fought to remove from the United States decades ago.
Airline dismisses
Etihad has rejected accusations from union.
– Etihad has been an award-winning airline precisely because we value our employees and treat them with dignity and respect, according to the a statement from the company.
The airline further claimed that it supported its staff through pregnancy and the time after birth.
– Our cabin crew can return to their jobs after their maternity leave is over, the company said.
Nicole Kidman has not responded to the allegations in the open letter.
