(page2): Internet Shopping would somehow make everything so much easier for us, huh? We were supposed to save time sitting in your living room to shop, now that we could avoid butikkmas and prøveromskø.
But a new study from The Daily Mail shows that it is far from as timesaving to shop from your couch. But then maybe the problem rather that we just start shopping there, before we go through a series of relatively unnecessary step forward to the goal: Owning a new garment.
The investigation has focused on shopping habits of 1403 women, many of whom are going through ten steps from the get the first idea of buying something new, to those actually sitting with the product in your hands.
Step 1: Go through the fashion and celebrity magazine looking for inspiration
1 of 3 women between 16 and 24 years begins here. Shall we go for Blake Lively-the look? Or Kim Kardashian?
Step 2: Check what’s on the various shopping sites online
7 out of 10 women do this. We call it to probe the terrain so that you know what you have to choose from.
Step 3: Sending links to friends of things considering buying
20% send picture of what they are considering purchasing either via text message, email, Facebook or Whatsapp. Okay to know what others thinking.
Step 4: Poster picture of what you are thinking about buying on Facebook
Only 10% do this, and we would imagine perhaps that this is only applies for larger purchases. We would not posted picture of a new jeans on Facebook, but maybe if we’d bought a straightener or animal skin products, just to hear what experiences others have.
Step 5 : Surfer Instagram to see if any of your girlfriends own same garment
12% do this. We think that one usually knows about some of your closest friends have the same as you are thinking about buying, and the rest is it not so closely? Do not so much whether one buys the same jacket as a former colleague, somehow.
Step 6: Sends link of what you are thinking to buy for mom, sisters or other close relatives
1 of 7 requires a recent approval of female family members. We do not feel that here, unless it is a convenient purchases mom can approve quality.
Step 7: Going to the store to try garment
Over half takes a trip to the store to try the garment. Clearly a winner if you have access to the store.
Step 8: Take a prøveromsselfie
1 in 5 women going forward phone in the dressing room to take a selfies. Always good to see how you look to others (no, it is not quite the same with mirror).
Step 9: Send prøveromsselfien to girlfriend / boyfriend / family member
As a kind of last approval.
Step 10: Buyer garment
71 % buy clothing in the store, while 29% buy it on-line (they’ve probably got his hands on a discount). Aaaah, finally finished. Hooray!
