Admits anakondastuntet was deceptive – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): Having spent over one month in building up tension around Discovery program “Eaten Alive”, showed the main attraction to be a huge anticlimax.

Even the title of the program indicated that nature filmmaker Paul Rosoli should be devoured alive by an anaconda, he was not.

The stunt was namely interrupted before anaconda at all had begun to consume him, prompting viewers to race.

According to the Times of India now admits Rosoli he realize that TV viewers feel cheated in a Q & A on Discovery Facebook page.

– The hype around the TV program was misleading, he said.

In total 4.1 million so the program. But Rosoli says that although the stunt did not go so he had hoped that he constantly had an intention to be devoured by the snake.

– I do not care that you’re upset that I was not devoured by a anakoda. I tried. And if there is a chance for me to work with Discovery Channel and awareness of endangered animals, so I will do it, he says to NJ.com.

The nature filmmaker and Discovery also gained great criticism from snake experts and animal protectionists who think the stunt is animal abuse. Rosoli says stunt was done to give the endangered animals and rainforest the attention they deserve.

– Wildlife and ecosystems around the world is very vulnerable right now. I have worked with Amazon and wildlife in ten years. Especially in recent years, I have studied anaconda, which is a very charismatic species. I want to focus on this and teach people that what goes on in the Amazon is very, very important, said Rosoli Dagbladet in advance of the program.

The program appears in this country on December 10 on Discovery.
