An exciting finale – Oppland Arbeiderblad

[BA.NO]: Director Peter Jackson has taken great liberties with JRR Tolkien universe, although he has remained the main lines.

“Hobbit” 287 pages has been to a movie trilogy where the last part focuses on the Battle of Smaug tax. The settlement with the fire-breathing dragon, a highlight of the book is done in the first part of “Battle of Five Armies.”

With a dramatic twist that only Peter Jackson could come when Bard uses his last arrow at the dragon.

The undersigned wish that “Desolation of Smaug” and “Battle of Five Armies” had been joined into a film.

But Peter Jackson has managed to create an exciting and impressive finale at Bilbo adventure that blends seamlessly with the more complex “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

This is prehistory.

Greed

Dwarf King Thorin greed and incipient madness painted out inside Smaug treasuries. Formidable Richard Armitage brings out the doubt and paranoia gnawing dwarf looking for royal stone.

Archbishopric British Martin Freeman is once again brilliant as hobbit Bilbo, “honest thief” that surprising when humans and elves require their share of the treasure. Billy Connolly as the redheaded dwarf king Dain also get the laughter with the command “sod off” to the elves.

Of the seven pages in “The Hobbit” has Jackson created a violent blow where humans, elves and dwarves fighting together against orcs and wickedness behind. Tolkien uses words like “very terrible.”

Peter Jackson shows that he brings back the vicious white orklederen Azog against dwarf king Thorin. Dwarf Blood flows, and the audience is kept guessing in more intensely exciting duels that are not described in Tolkien’s book.

Love History

It could easily become too much war glam and slaughter, and a pale copy of the final settlement in the “Lord of the Rings – Return of the King.” But the director develops his love story between dwarf Kili and elf Tauriel.

The sounds with other wistful stories of great love and grief in Tolkien universe, and gives “Battle of Five Armies” an additional bottom. Not least, the new facets to Legolas’ history.

Some “Lord of the Rings” tab might think that too much emphasis is placed on the battle and the heroes of the past, “The Hobbit” movie. Bilbo subtle style disappears bit, but hobbit and Kili and Tauriel history provides warmth to “Battle of Five Armies.”

Director Peter Jackson has succeeded in creating a fantastic Tolkien inspired film universe with exciting stories and strong characters which will live on and joy ever new generations.

Maybe they will also discover the real treasure located in Tolkien’s books and their history of unity, friendship and goodness struggle against evil, where small creatures can play a major role.

Premiere at midnight Tuesday. Watch the trailer here.
