Isaacson is best known as the author of the bestseller biography of the deceased Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. But American has also written biographies of geniuses like Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein.
In the fall he will create The Innovators – the story of the people behind the digital revolution. And those who think this is just a story from our own time, you should read the book. It takes the reader right back to the 1800s digital prophets.
Central to Isaacson’s book also stands the British mathematician Alan Turing. Not only credited Turing to have cracked the German Enigma code insoluble during WWII (and thus saved a few million lives); he did it with something called “Turing machine”. Today we call it a computer.
