17 things you hardly knew about “Cinderella” – Page2

(page2): “Cinderella” is one of the world’s most beloved fairy tales, and she is one of the most popular Disney princesses.

This week “The Tale of Cinderella ‘premiere. Here we follow the magical adventure again, but the film also allows us to become better acquainted with the characters and adding new details to the story.

In the Week classic we discuss the most famous film adaptation of “Cinderella”, namely Disney animated classic from 1950.

1. When Disney was beginning a new movie, they stood between “Cinderella” and “Alice in Wonderland.” Walt Disney decided that they would make both simultaneously, and he shared workgroup in two. “Cinderella” was first done, and it was released a year before “Alice in Wonderland.”

2. Cinderella is 19 years old.

3. Originally it was planned that all animals should speak – also horse Major, dog Bruno and cat Lucifer. It was written a song called “Horse Sense”, which was a duet between Major and Bruno.

4. It was also written a song called “Cinderella Work Song”. It should be sung after the stepmother told Cinderella that she could go on ballet IF she did finish their duties and had a pretty dress. It would be a dream sequence, where Cinderella would imagine that she was cloned into an army of Cinderella’s that could split the job, before she dreamed about how wonderful ballet would be.

5. Another scene that was cut, going after the ball. The stepmother and stepsisters came home and talked away about the mysterious girl in ballet, and Cinderella thought it was very funny, because they realized that it was her. Walt Disney should have removed the scene because Cinderella emerged as superior, and he was afraid the audience would lose sympathy for her.

6. Early in the script work was planned that Lucifer was Cinderella cat.

7. In the planning had prince a greater role. It was partly a scene at the beginning where it looked as if the prince hunted gazelle, but eventually the film turned out that he had only played with deer.

8. The film originally had a different ending. Here were great duke bring Cinderella to the palace to meet the prince, and he was very surprised that she was not a princess. But the prince’s feelings were too strong to care about such things, so he still wanted to marry her. When should the good fairy emerge and give Cinderella ball gown back. There should have been Walt Disney himself who decided that end should be replaced.

9. In the story of the brothers Grimm, cutter stepsisters off parts of the foot, so that the glass shoe should fit. But the birds Cinderella discovers that they are trying to trick the prince. During the wedding of Cinderella and the prince comes to flying and pecking out stepsisters eyes.

10. In the original version played Cinderella Ilene Woods.

11. Precious Stray Pedersen voiced Cinderella in Norwegian. Today she works with children’s choir at The Norwegian Opera and Ballet. Read our interview with her here.

12. Most of the film is first recorded with real actors, before animators drew his drawings based on these recordings.

13. Helene Stanley was the model for Cinderella. She was also the model for stepsister Anastasia. Later she was the model for Aurora in “Sleeping Beauty” and Anita in “101 Dalmatians.” Dancer Ward Ellis was the model for the prince.

14. Apart from the brief introduction at the beginning and the wedding finally, takes the whole story within a day.

15. The appearance of the evil cat Lucifer was inspired by the cat to one of the animators.

16. “Cinderella” was Walt Disney’s favorite fairy tale, because he recognized themselves in her. His favorite scene among all his films, was when Cinderella broken dress was transformed into ball gown.

17. The film had a budget of nearly three million dollars. Because of difficult times, was Walt Disney completely dependent on the film was a success, if not would the studio go bankrupt. Luckily it was a huge success.
