- The toughest been Gunhild – kjendis.no

(Dagbladet): – It has been five tough months, but the toughest been Gunhild Stordalen. Thanks for all the support, printer Petter Stordalen (52) on twitter.

It was just before Christmas it became known that Gunhild Stordalen (36) had been diagnosed with the life-threatening diagnosis systemic sclerosis. Since then, both Petter and Gunhild Stordalen kept low profile.

Boasts husband

Tonight she is one of the guests in “Skavlan”. Today there also came out a lengthy interview she has done with Aftenposten A magazine. Where she boasts of her husband.

– All families experiencing serious illness up close life, know that you end up in some kind of emergency. It is not easy for anyone. To feel every day that your partner is so rock solid at one’s side. Without Petter I do not know what I’d do, says Gunhild Stordalen to A magazine.

For Fredrik Skavlan she tells also about the disease.

– I marked on my skin that it was disease activity. The skin hardens and becomes like a rhino armor. I knew that slid rose spread upward neck and came face. I failed to take their arms behind their backs or bending your wrists. Some mornings I got not out of bed because I had such pain and was so stiff, she says in the interview with Skavlan according nrk.no.

– Great effect

Stordalen has received much praise for the way she has treated their illness in public. Both Cancer Society and Norwegian Rheumatism has hailed her for her openness, and a number of celebrity women have given their support to her.

– Rheumatic diseases and connective tissue diseases like this are low status groups of disease, so when a person Gunhild is so brave to stand up in the way she has done so by lifting this disease of the public debate. Other patients feel that they are seen and heard in a different way when she stands up, and doctors, scientists and other professionals are also inspired on learning more about it. It has a large effect, Tone Granaas, Secretary General of Norwegian Rheumatism told Dagbladet.
