Large police action after false report about shooting with Lil ‘Wayne – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Police in Miami Beach had tonight a big action against the house of rapper Lil ‘Wayne (32), after a caller told me that he had shot four people there .

It all turned out to be a false alarm.

– We have gone through the whole house, and we have not found any shot victims or injured persons. We can safely say that it was a joke, says Ernesto Rodriguez at Miami Beach police to the local news channel 7News.

Thus the police were victims of the phenomenon of “swatting”, where people call in fake reports that people have been shot or killed.

– As you saw today, so overall there are lots of police forces. This is nothing to laugh at, say Rodriguez.

The label Young Money writes on Twitter that the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, was not at home.
