Beautiful, Norwegian scenery and unsolved murders is the backdrop for TV2 new drama commitment Frikjent, which premieres Monday at 21.45.
The series has already get kudos from abroad, including The Hollywood Reporter, which predicts international success.
– It is great fun, smiles lead actor Nicolai Cleve Broch (39).
Screenwriter Siv Rajendram Eliassen (47) tells TV2 that she almost seems attention is too good to be true.
– When one tries to hold on and think that ” it could be, “but we’re trying to take it with a pinch of salt.
Cleve Broch says that he thinks the good feedback series has garnered extra valued because they come from people in the industry.
– It is exciting with the large organizations and that the clever guys think we’re good. But another aspect, which I enjoy, is that this is professionals. Shipped in primetime in Sweden

– There’s tremendous! It is quite unusual that a Norwegian series are prioritized at sending the form in Sweden. We have been a Scandinavian brother drama fronts, so we think it’s tremendous to be up there with the big brother, she says.
Primary Role holder also think it is significant that Swedes now choose to give the series a popular time.
– Then there is a proof that they actually like it. One thing is to buy the series to fill a transmission surface, but to buy it to put it in primetime, is something else. There are “two plus two is four, we like it!”.
Showing up a “greener” Scandinavia

– We filmed in very nice surroundings on the west coast. We had many shooting days in Årdal, which is a very nice place to be with very many benevolent extras and great people cheering series forward, says Bache-Wiig.

Rajendram Eliassen says that representatives from the distribution company Fremantle were surprised when they saw the lush pictures from Norwegian nature.

– We got a very funny reaction there. They saw the first pictures and thought it was absolutely fantastic! And then she says one, “We’ve never seen Scandinavia this green!”. And green is the in a way what Scandinavia, but they have seen through Scandinavia series Bridge and crime, where it is dark, dirty and much asphalt.
Inspired by Birgitte Teng-killing
Frikjent is inspired by the unsolved murder of Birgitte Teng in 1995. Screenwriter Rajendram Eliassen pretended particularly engage the murder case.
– It was a case that occupied me and who really has concerned many in Norway . It’s been the case Norway never forgot. The fact that a man was acquitted and exonerated in the same case, it created a dilemma and one doubts that everyone involved in the case have been forced to deal with. I remember thinking “what if it was me! Imagine if it was me who sat with the kind of dilemma! “. And I think I’m feeling very many can get when they think of the case. “It could have been me.”
