“Ghostbusters”: We call with pleasure these ladies – Aftenposten

Having seen the new version of Ghostbusters with four female ghost hunters will hate campaign against the film absurd. It’s quite nice to have a nostalgic preference to the version from 1984, but letting an irrational hatred go beyond four talented actors just because they are women is too stupid.

2016 version of the crazy ghost hunters are actually surprisingly funny and entertaining, the dog of the noisy battle.

Sturdy on its own feet

Director Paul Feig had strictly not had to lean so much on the old movie that he does. Throughout the film pops both Murray, Aykroyd and Hudson up in small roles. The same Marshmallow Man and a greedy, green blobs. It’s a funny touch, but they are not required.

Ghostbusters director: – The worst kind of woman hostility I have experienced in my life

But with such strong hatreaksjoner among web roles it might have been better to put the original back themselves? For this is no continuation of the 84 version, but a standalone movie. It says a nostalgic thanks to the original by incorporating the old-timers.

Perhaps all those nostalgic touches show that Feig (sic) not proud enough of its own concepts? That should he done! For both Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones gets along great on their own.

Comic talent

Here is the brilliant comic timing, hilarious dialogue and interaction between the foursome is lovely effortless. All four are allowed to shine. Specifically, Kate McKinnon ingenious as the wacky inventor. She steals the show with the most incredible monologues about atoms and electromagnetic pulses. How she manages to present them in all seriousness, is a mystery.

Another element is that humor never plays the plump and cheap “lady jokes.” The film has no blødmer about periods or women’s so-called lack of technical skill. The fact that they are women is simply not an issue. That’s how it should be.

The action-packed final scene in slow motion is John Woo worthy. It is a demonstration of how to create an explosive fight scene. Brilliant choreographed like a dance between the laser beams and ghosts. Simply refreshing enjoyable.

Perhaps it Kevin, played by Chris Hemsworth, the film’s haters have the greatest problem with? Kevin is namely blond bimbo – sexy and stupid as a loaf. Traditionally, it is women who have played this role, from Marilyn Monroe to Goldie Hawn, so here it is time for a role reversal. Hemsworth looks in any case seem to thrive in the role.

“Lights out”: Do not turn off the lights!

Cool 3D effects

Another reason why you should not listen to the negative rumors, they are amazing 3D effects.

In the 3D version is image on canvas slightly smaller than normal with a black border around. This is effective. The ghosts occupy New York spews the green slime right in your face. Eventually, it becomes a little exhausted, but in the beginning it is extremely entertaining.

Ghostbusters is noisy and action-packed laser fun held in a rude and brash tone. Now we forget network roles, and the next time the joke we call Erin, Abby, Jillian and Patty.

“Escape”: Realistic and dimmed about life in the shadows “Ice Age on a collision course”: Now we declare the ice age over
