Fox News CEO resigns following allegations of sexual harassment – NRK

Earlier this summer was Roger Ailes sued for sexual harassment by Gretchen Carlson, who was the host of the morning show “Fox & amp; Friends “from 2005 to 2013.

In the lawsuit claims Carlson that she was taken by the “Fox & amp; Friends “and received wages cut because she would not initiate a sexual relationship with Roger Ailes.

Ailes, who has been Fox News’ chief executive since he founded the channel in the 1990s, rejected immediately the allegations and called the lawsuit Carlson retaliation.

– This lawsuit is a retaliation for the channel’s decision to not renew the contract her, which was taken because her disappointing low viewing figures went down afternoon programs, said Ailes said in a statement.

This week also one of the channel’s biggest stars, news anchor Megyn Kelly, have told investigators that Ailes harassed her when she started to Fox for around ten years ago.

Now therefore Ailes, who before joining Fox worked as an adviser to presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, passed by.
