A pleasant reunion with Thorbjørn Egners the social-democratic universe.

It is nice that there still be life in Thorbjørn Egners “the Animals in Hakkebakkeskogen”, even though it was written in the 50′s, is it at least as relevant today.

Did you get with you: Hard battle, “the Animals in Hakkebakkeskogen”-the costumes.

the Story is about trubaduren and livsnyteren Klatremus not have raked in the nuts for the winter, but rather lives on the other. The cunning and snikete Mikkel Fox threatens to eat the smaller animals in the forest, the wise, safe Bamsefar and the cautious but industrious Morten Skogmus. And finally, cooperation of the animals themselves when they are to save the little Brumlemann from being sold by the people that live on the farm to a traveling circus.

It is a moral tale that the stingrays at something universal and human; that they come far by to be kind and to have mutual respect for each other, small or large.

like Kim Haugens production of the play at the national theatre last fall, is also Rasmus A. Sivertsens animated film a nice reunion with the gang in Hakkebakkeskogen. But it takes longer time before the viewer gets pulled properly into the Eligible universe.

Background: Klatremus go to the movie.

the Animations are very elaborate, by all means, but it does require a half hour of habituation before one has turned themselves properly to rest with some of the slightly over-played characters (mainly Klatremus) and a limping pace.

Once one has made it through the first half hour is the remaining 45 minutes is a joyous affair. Both the action and the characters picking up the pace and it is both exciting and engaging.

More about film: Will create the “Christmas in Skomakergata” on the film.

Screenwriter Karsten Fullu has remained close to the original story, and it is just okay. In return, visene more rock-oriented than we know them from before. It is a bit unfamiliar in the beginning, but end up with to work. It is impossible not to be nostalgic of the “Pepperkakebakevisa”, “Klatremus’ voggevise” and “Bamsefars birthday”.

“the Animals in Hakkebakkeskogen” make the most of all the best theatre, but the film stands on its own legs and is a nice inclusion in Egners wonderful world for the smallest.
