Popikonet George Michael (53) is dead – VG

The british 80-tallshelten died in his own home christmas day, only 53 years old.

It is with great sadness that we can confirm that our beloved son, brother and friend, George, died peacefully at his home in christmas, enter the family in a press release.

In 2005 announced to Michael that he was finished with the music industry and life in the spotlight of media attention, but their stay was short-lived – and the year after he stood on stage in front of 8000 spectators in the Oslo Spektrum.

the pop star has been open about the fact that he struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for many years. In 2014 he was admitted to a privatklinikk in Switzerland to get help with rusproblemene.

Worked with documentary film

In 2011 had Michael to cancel a number of concerts when he was admitted to a hospital in Vienna with pneumonia.

the Film was scheduled to have its premiere in march of next year. It is unknown what happens with the project now that the star has passed away.
