“The spectacular Star Wars ending not to impress” – iTromsø

By the turn of the millennium, we were skeptical of the Star Wars 1, 2 and 3. In the last year were all skeptical of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, and in years has, perhaps, scepticism has been greater than ever when Disney launched sidehistorien to the Star Wars saga with the “Rogue One”.

But relax – this is worth kinoturen.

death star

We are still “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away”. Specifically, just before the events in “Star Wars: A New Hope” from 1977.

Here it is given little time to the production, which is almost extinct, but rather the resistance that fear the plans of the empire and the dødsstjerne.

We follow Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), who is with the resistance movement to reveal the floor plans to the death star. Drawings are essential for the good if they at all should have a chance against Darth Vader and his army.

Selvmordsoppdrag

It is difficult not to allow themselves to be lost in this generation of Star Wars movies. “The Force Awakens” met expectations as just that, and “Rogue One” follows its footsteps without that it leans too much on its unique qualities. Here it is namely the action from one end to the other.

We are presented with a variety of characters, which is sent out on a selvmordsoppdrag to save the galaxy. The problem is that you don’t get so well acquainted with everyone in the group, and it is, unfortunately, a lot of potential in the film.

once again, being among other things, Forest Whitaker is not taken seriously enough and disappear quite quickly out of the film. On the other hand impresses the film’s major villain, Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn), with his stubbornness and a burning desire to climb the ladder in the imperial ranks.

received

the Movie has already been received very well by both fans and critics all over the world. And I have no doubt that we here at home are going to want the “Rogue One” welcomed as a worthy film in the Star Wars collection. It is however not as good as “The Force Awakens” or the classics “A New Hope” and “The Empire Strikes Back”, but miles and miles ahead of the attempt on the three movies that came by millenniumsskifte.

the Beginning might seem a little slow, and one could perhaps avoided a few cliches in it the director is trying to create avvæpningshumor, but this makes the film’s climax and ending up for. The film’s last forty minutes is nerve-wracking and patches to the end together “Rogue One” with “A New Hope”.

to be a boost in the Skywalker saga is this is in many ways a key enabler of several stories associated with filmuniverset just about all have an relation to. And after having seen the “Rogue One”, we just want more!!!
