‘The Shield’ actor sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing wife – VG

According to police he shot his wife three times, while the couple’s two sons were present in the house. Now actor Michael Jace sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder on April Jace.

It was in May 2014 that Michael Jace even admitted to have shot and killed his wife, April Jace. Friday he was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the assault, reports Reuters.

The shooting occurred after the LAPD believe was domestic violence. Neighbors have reported that they heard loud arguing just before the shots were fired.

During the trial shall Jaces lawyers have explained that the actor acted in affect, and was very upset because his wife wanted a divorce.

According to prosecutors struck Jace wife three times – twice in the legs, and one once in the back. Parets two sons should have been present in the house when it happened.

Jace should have explained to the police that his original plan was to take his own life. Then he will have decided to harm his wife by shooting her feet with her father’s revolver.

– I was angry, will Jace have explained.

– Everything I planned was to shoot her in the leg. And then I shot her in the leg, and that was it.

Jace is best known for his role as police officer Julien Lowe in the TV series “The Shield” that went for 7 seasons on FOX in the US and TV2 in Norway. He also had minor roles in series such as “Southland” and “The Mentalist.”

He also played minor roles in the movies “The Replacements,” “Forrest Gump” and with Russell Crowe in the movie “State of Play. “
