SEOGHØR.NO: Monday morning attended Queen Silvia (71), Princess Madeleine (32), her husband Chris O’Neill (40) and their daughter Princess Leonore (1 ) a visit with Pope Francis (78) in the Vatican.
Both the Queen and Princess Madeleine was wearing black suits, with traditionally black lace shawl on her head, while the little one-year-old was comely dressed in white – and matched with other words the Pope who was dressed in the traditional white papal suit.
Leonore enjoyed themselves on Grandma’s lap, playing with a keychain she received the gift of the Pope. On several occasions spanned the beautiful yearling hand toward the pope, who had no objection to pamper princess.
According SvenskDam princess said delightedly to the pope:
– She loves you!
Burning involvement of children and young people
On its official Facebook page writes Madeleine about the purpose of the trip:
“Three generations of my family met the pope at the Vatican today, all to show our opposition to child trafficking.”
Princess Madeleine, who is pregnant for the second time, has focused on children and youth always stood close to her heart. She has worked for several years for charity Childhood Foundation – an organization Queen Silvia founded in 1999 to help disadvantaged children around the world.
Queen Silvia visited the Vatican several times, but this meeting – just like Madeleine and Chris – was her first with the current pope.
In the afternoon attended Queen Silvia and Princess Madelene seminar “Human Trafficking with Special Focus on Children”, and the day ended with a dinner with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon (70) on the Swedish Embassy in Rome.
