Believes Paus must peek over the language barrier – NRK

Spellemannprisen has outlived its, said Ole Paus. He saw red when it became known that Siri Nilsen was the only Norwegian language entry in the class copywriters. She is nominated along with Marit Larsen, Highasakite, Thea Hjelmeland and Sondre Lerche.

– Grammy continuing a trasig trend, and I think it is a shame that it has distanced itself from what could have been an important task , to stimulate Norwegian music. I hope Siri Nilsen mosses the others, said Paus.

– My generation Norwegian songwriters feel that Norwegian language music is equally accepted and embraced by the public and the press as the English language. It is amazing, says Sondre Lerche.

He thinks Paus creates an enemy image he not recognize and hope he manages to look over language barriers and appreciate the considerable work that lies behind a good text or genre .

– But it does not mean that everything written in Norwegian automatic is good, says Lerche.

– The price is changed

Paus, who has won Grammy in different categories, believes that Spellemannprisen have distanced themselves from the task of protecting our uniqueness as a small nation and language communities.

Lerche disagrees and believes that it is the text that premieres in category “year copywriter» in any language.

Another of the nominees, Marit Larsen, has refused comment on initiative from Ole Paus to NRK.
