Tyldum nominated for Golden Globe – BergensAvisen

Director Morten Tyldum from Bergen Sotra get international recognition when he is nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Picture of “The Imitation Game”. The film about the cryptographer Alan Turing during WWII is also nominated for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Film Music and Best Screenplay.

His historical film is well placed to be nominated for an Oscar after Golden Globe nominations.

– It looks very good now, thinks the director himself. “The Imitation Game” has premiered Norway 1. Christmas Day.

compete with “Boyhood”

In the best film category competing “The Imitation Game” with the acclaimed childhood story “Boyhood,” Martin Luther King Jr. movie “Selma” biographical “Foxcatcher” and Stephen Hawking movie “The Theory Of Everything”.

“The Imitation Game” -hovedrolleinnehaver Benedict Cumberbatch, known from “Sherlock Holmes” series, and Keira Knightley can win awards for their efforts as the gays mathematician Alan Turing and his helper. But names like Steve Carell and Jake Gyllenhaal is also nominated, alongside David Oyelowo and Eddie Redmayne.

Strong actors Patricia Arquette and Meryl Streep is also nominated in supporting tab “Boyhood” and “Into The Woods”. Golden Globe awards will be presented on January 11.

Morten Tyldum made his international breakthrough with Jo Nesbø thriller “Headhunters” with Aksel Hennie.
