The song and video has the Kven youth organization “Kven Youth Network» produced in collaboration with studying music at Kongsbakken High School in Tromsø.
With the video they will Kven youths strengthen Kven language and sense of identity.
Two of the contributors is Emelie Nilsen from Nesseby, known as the guitarist of The BlackSheeps. And – Tromsø Mayor Jens Johan Hjort.

Recently, the Troms County Council that Kven must have the same status as Sami, whether it should be possible to save the language. Finnmark county also supports the measure.
The video and the music that they Kven youngsters behind, inspired by and based on United Artists-track “Friend”.
