Was abandoned by his parents as 11-year-old – Seoghør.en

– It is worse than if they had died in a car accident, ” says “Breaking Bad”-star.

Actor Bryan Cranston (60) is most known for the role of Walter White in the cult series of “Breaking Bad”, a role that earned him four Emmy awards.

He followed in his father’s footsteps when he chose to be an actor, the late Joe Cranston.

But it was everything else than the support he received from his father in childhood. In an interview with The Times, tells the 60-year-old candidly about his tough upbringing.

As the 11-year-old, he had, together with his two siblings, move in with his grandparents because his father chose to move from them.

- She was a shadow of itself

his Mother, Audrey Peggy, struggled on its side with severe alcohol problems and were not able to take care of the three children.

Dad chose to take from us. Mom chose to become an alcoholic and drown the sorrows. She was a shadow of itself. And no one explained ever why dad left, ” he says to the newspaper.

Resumed contact

today he sits still again with anger and disappointment.

- There is a lot of pain I have to deal with. It is worse than if they had died in a car accident, because they were still there physically, somewhere. Until I reached the age of ten years, was my mom and dad are amazing. What is it that hurts so much. My mom was supportive and dad was like my teacher; we did things together and he bought a donkey that we could play with. But then everything was just gone, ” he says.

Even though it was difficult for him, he managed after many years to resume contact with both parents. His mother died, however, in 2004, while the father passed away two years ago.

I feel sorry for the people who have had a close relationship with the parents, also suddenly, in just a few months, the person goes away, he says.
