Police: – Prince had no visible injuries – Bergens Tidende

Nothing suggests that Princes death was a suicide, said Sheriff Jim Olson in Carver County.

The artist had no visible injuries when he was found dead, says Olson at a news conference Friday.

the singer Prince, who real name Prince Rogers Nelson was Thursday morning found dead in an elevator in her home Paisley Park outside Minneapolis in Minnesota, 57 years old. Star was autopsied Friday but it may take several weeks before the cause of death is unclear.



Last Wednesday

Olson says Prince was last seen at eight o’clock Wednesday evening in Paisley Park, when he was set off home. Police say no one witnessed the death, and that Prince apparently was alone on the property, Sheriff Olson believes were not uncommon.

– He valued his privacy, said the sheriff.

Members of Princes staff ante impossible when they did not come in contact with the artist on Thursday morning, and went to check. And they found Prince lifeless in the elevator.

Police said all emergency services who managed when the distress call came in line with procedures. CPR was attempted but failed. Emergency message came at 9:43, and at 10:07 the Prince declared dead.

Police in Carver County report that they conducted a routine crime scene investigation. Olson would not say whether the police took with them evidence of any kind, and referring to the investigation into the death is ongoing. He will not say if it was found prescription drugs in the star’s home.





Hip Problems

Speculation about the cause of death has been high on the Internet and in the media after the superstar’s surprising deaths. Prince has stated himself that he struggled with epilepsy in childhood, and friends have told that he had problems with his hips.

Sheila E. Princes former percussionist says he had problems with the repercussions of the biggest jumps on stage – often performed with high heels.

Prince joined the Jehovah’s witnesses in 2001. According to rumors he declined in 2005 hip surgery, since this could not be accomplished without blood transfusion, which witnesses do not allow. Hip problems must have been very painful.

Olson says police and the coroner will now go through the star’s medical history and talk with his loved ones.

– We will leave no stone unturned and make that the audience gets to know what happened, says Olson.

The iconic artist recalls worldwide. US President Barack Obama told Friday that he had heard on Prince songs “Delirious” and “Purple Rain” when he was preparing for Friday’s talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
