Prince buried in private ceremony – NRK

– A few hours ago was Prince celebrated by a small group of his most dear: family, friends and his musicians, in a private and beautiful ceremony to take a loving farewell, writes spokeswoman Anna Meacham said in a statement Saturday night.

Meanwhile, she promises a greater “musical celebration” in memory of the artist, but the date for this has not yet been determined.

the press release says nothing about where the ceremony took place, but friends of the Prince, as drummer Sheila E. and bassist Larry Graham, were seen heading into the home of Prince Paisley Park outside Minneapolis Saturday. Hundreds of fans had gathered outside the building, which served as both residence and studio for Prince. The fence around the property is the last few days been covered with purple balloons, flowers and signs hung by grieving fans.
