Agnete: – I won over myself tonight – Bergens Tidende

Agnete Johnsen depper not that “Icebreaker” is not going to Eurovision final. – I stood on the stage and gave my mind and I am so insanely proud of myself, she says.

Norway was number 15 on the stage of the 18 countries in the other semifinal. Agnete performed “Icebreaker” which she wrote with Swedish Gabriel Alar and British Ian Curnow.

When the ten finalists was read, was not Norway with.

“Icebreaker” is a personal song to one of Agnetes closest friends, who are struggling with depression . Earlier this year it was announced that the artist studied for bipolar disorder, and she had hard times towards the final in Stockholm.

Among other things, she dropped several appearances and other marketing. It also meant that Agnete have not been watching, or are looking at some of the remaining gatherings and press activities.



Favorites

Ukraine and Australia was before the semifinals Thursday considered the safest to progress to the final, while Norway was slightly lower at bookmakers lists.

Also Denmark struggled Thursday during the final place, but our Nordic friends did not come on to the finals. Finland and Iceland were both were knocked out in the first delfinale Tuesday. The host country Sweden is directly qualified for the final, where Russia is considered the biggest favorite. 26 countries participate in the final in Globen Saturday night.

This year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm is the 61st in the series. Sweden is the organizer after Måns Zelmerlöw won with “Heroes” in Vienna last year. This year he is the presenter along with actor and comedian Petra Mede.
