Manufacturer warns flammable heater – Adresseavisen

In late March killed a woman in 70 years in Harstad in a residential fire. The investigation concluded that the cause of fire was hot once a connection point on the water heater, NRK writes. There are reports of 20 other fires at home with the same heater.

The manufacturer behind the hot water tank has decided to send out a warning to all Norwegian homes.

– It has been difficult for us looking forward to every single buyer. We have therefore, for dialogue with the police in Harstad, decided to send out a general warning to all households in the country as soon as possible so that they can report to us if they have one of the affected heaters, says CEO Oso Hotwater in Norway, Sigurd Braathen.

there are tanks manufactured between 2009 and 2011 it is found to be faulty. In 2013, the company sent out a warning about the risk of overheating in the electrical supply of hot water heaters. Then they got only feedback from 30 percent of those who have the type of tank.

30 000 water heaters of the type now warned sold
