Rune Andersen tells about growing up with violent father – VG

When he was four years old experienced Rune Andersen that his father beat his mother unconscious – and slammed four year old in the wall when he would get his mother’s rescue.

His father was a sailor and was gone most of the year. In the beginning it was quite long periods of time. Her mother was a housewife and mostly alone with Rune and the Three Sisters his. They grew up in what he calls “Gerhardsen countries.”

But when the father came home the family experienced a completely different life. A life often marked by terror and fear, says comedian.

– When he arrived we were given gifts, it was “Christmas Eve” when. But we knew it did not last long. It could sometimes turn same evening. When he had something to drink, he was no kind man, says Rune Andersen.

He is strongly influenced throughout the TV feature, which he has given VG permission to refer from. VG has also been in contact with his three sisters, who supports his brother’s decision to share the story to help others in similar situations.

Saturday’s fundraising campaign on TV 2 has been finalized on the occasion opening of Stine Sofie Centre in Grimstad, the first activity center for abused children and adolescents.
