When Poppe took the award he used the opportunity to remind you that the movie was partly financed by funds from the cultural budget of the previous government.

 - As high as it is this year, it’s fantastic to get the price. And this film is made on the previous government’s culture budget. Remember that, said Poppe from price podium according to Aftenposten.

“A thousand times good night” was nominated for seven Amandas, respectively best feature film, best director, best actress, best supporting actress, best cut, best music and best photography.

In addition to the most prestigious prize, the critically acclaimed feature film rewarded with Amanda statuettes for Best Cinematography (John Christian Rosenlund) and Best Music (Arman Amar).

“A thousand times good night” premiered at Norwegian cinemas in October last year and was seen by over 100,000. Jar-director’s films have won Cinema Manager Association “Sølvklumpen” for best film and Critics for both Best Picture and Best Cinematography.
