Along with Kurt Nilsen, Tone Damli sindy Esben “Dane” Selvig he left to look behind the judge table, when the kick goes for the eighth “Idol »-season on TV2 tonight at 20.
– Top Heavy year
Season starts the tradition of transmissions from the audition rounds, where thousands of hopefuls are fortunate to 172.
After the audition rounds, the judges selected the 40 that is to see in live rounds in the fall. Judge quartet hope finalists create enthusiasm among the viewers and get them to want to vote them out.
– We have at least found someone we really like, and feel it is very top heavy this year. There is great variety, and insolently talented people at the top. Almost annoying clever, says, “The Dane” .
– It’s everything between heaven and earth. There are so varied, and so many different people, with different voices. Some are super wild and other brands we are not in the room, but when they open your mouth … God, says Nilsen.
– Always scary
Damli sindy says that range over several Song Categories: Soul, blues, jazz, country, pop and rock. And presenter Stian Blipp guarantees participants of all ages, shapes and colors.
When live broadcasts starting this fall, the 40 participants will be ten finalists.
The judges find it difficult to name names when talking about the contestants who have made particularly strong impression, but they are words, these judgments favorites.
– It’s always scary to highlight individuals, little unfair on the rest, for we have collected a damn fine bunch of people. The majority we agree, but some of them, some of us may be struggling a little bit more. But I have no doubt that it is good the semi finals and a great final, says “Dane.”
– Does my favorites
Tone Damli Sindy and Gunnar Greve answers in clear speech when they are asked if they have had a particularly good eye – and ear – for some of the “Idol” The participants.
– Yes, I have my favorites. People can still surprise, but after what I’ve seen now, I have a few that stand out in my head, says Sindy.
– We have definitely found our favorites. We shall be objective as far as possible, but we’re working on something called creativity, and it is not possible to control 100 percent, says Greve.
“Dane” is, however, more uncertain.
– I was pretty sure last year, very early on who was going to win. I’m not this year. It’s kind of cool that there are several who claim the very top says “Dane.”
Rooms for surprise
And so it’s not decided yet. The 40 who remain must, after all, show that they can handle the pressure associated with performing live in prime time. Then there is definitely room for surprise, says Sindy.
– They develop so much during that time, and it is not always an advantage to be the best at the audition, because the fall height is often great. So a nice, small, upward curve is good, says Tone.
According to “The Great Dane”, viewers can look forward to more original characters in this year’s “Idol.”
– It was gratifying year, then, is that it have been many screws. There have been types, grades, a bit like pin-downs. Originals. People who are not like that samlebånds- ‘Idol’ -artister, but coming here with character. Maybe things one does not immediately think ‘Idol’ material, but which therefore must continue. We have sent away the people with character in much greater this year than we did last year, says, “The Dane”.
