SEOGHØR.NO: Economy experts meetings on all sorts of situations in “Luxury Trap” but in this week’s episode they experience something out of the ordinary.
Hallgeir Kvadsheim (45) and Silje Sandmæl (37) visits Sondre Lereng Andreassen (22) at Askøy outside Bergen, who works as a waitress and lives at home with his mother.
For years Sondres consumption been completely out of control and he has not opened bills in four years. Often when he goes out with buddies as he stings of at least 5000 million in one night.

Faced Seoghør.no admits Hallgeir Kvadsheim that he and Silje Sandmæl almost was perplexed in the face of Sondres situation.
– He had an absolutely amazing high debt to be so young. He had spent a lot of money, without being left with nothing. Only that was unsettling. And then there were all the other dimensions as well. We hardly knew where to begin, actually. There was so much to take into account, says Kvadsheim.

The economist adds that “Luxury Trap” decided to take matters because Sondres family wanted him to get help, even though he had led them behind the light.
Kvadsheim notes that Sondres situation is among the more special in TV3 program’s history.
– It is rare that people have been prosecuted. It was a very special case. But given that it was his family – he had defrauded – who wanted him to get help, the ethical easier to take than if he had defrauded a stranger. But it is extremely rare that we encounter someone who goes that far to defraud her family, says economics expert to Seoghør.no.
– The fact that the young end up in this kind of situations, one can almost see it as a symptom of that consumer culture is gone too far?
– At least in some groups it seems that way. In “Luxury Trap” we often see that there are young people who want to be yet better than friend gang. In some groups may chased after status be so extensive that one takes up large consumer. And the last six months I have seen a huge growth in the number of providers of “rapid and dangerous’ money. So I think we will see more and more of the future, says Hallgeir Kvadsheim.
Sondre did not even want to comment on the program to the media.
