Dad with touching tribute to NSB for conductor heartwarming intervention – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): “Just want to share feedback I just sent to NSB regarding exceptional service for our daughter Sara,” writes Thomas Vedeler in a Facebook post that is now shared by two thousand.

It was last Thursday that her daughter his 13 year old Sarah who has Down syndrome, chose to embark on the adventure alone. She took his dog’s “Aqua” and went to Heggedal Station. There she on the train to Oslo.

For quick to complain

On board the train quickly realized conductor Ulrika Edin that your party, the 13 year old girl and the dog without a leash, should have supervised. She spoke with Sara and named for dad. Then she got in touch with him.

Vedeler, who had noticed that Sarah was gone and was out looking for her, is touched by your concern and service from Edin. Dagbladet he says that it is all too rare highlighted when someone extends further than is strictly necessary.

– I think we are very quick to judge and quick to complain. We are similarly little good to say thank you when there is something that is right, or even better than what you expect. When all is quiet, so things go smoothly. The same happens when there is exceptional. When it does not go, then screaming that he says.

– The Ulrika did for us, can hardly be described. The feeling that someone takes the initiative – it deserves a nod. Both her who was awake enough and NSB before the train waiting for us.

– Respect

For when Vedeler got the phone from Edin, stood train at Asker station and waited for them. It read in ten minutes before the father, daughter and dog were reunited.

– I am absolutely sure that the employees in NSB is measured including punctuality. For them to just leave it the focus there and then because they see a different need – it says so respectful of, say Vedeler.

He says that the feedback has been many positive after he let out his little thank-you letter to Facebook, but stresses that there is Edin who will have bragging here, not him.

Self says “everyday hero” Budstikka.no that she was touched when she read thank you note.

– To be praised is always nice. Anyway, I will obviously fond of it. But I did just the second NSB conductors also had done. To let the girl and dog get take the train alone against Oslo, was no alternative. Thomas thanked me on the platform in Asker. He seemed very happy, she told the newspaper.
