A 91-year-old woman was on Sunday attempted to be scammed by a person who gave himself out to be the TV repairman from NRK, writes Drammen Tidende.
the 91-year-old was called up twice, but figured that someone tried to trick her, she says to the newspaper.
He said: “I had a TV box that did not work as it should. They first tried to explain to me how I should fix it, but it was a little difficult. They proposed, therefore, to come to me in the evening to fix it. Then I said that they had to have identification with them, for I don’t let anyone, ” says 91-year-old.
When the alleged repairman tried to scare with that the TV box would not work, noted she down the phone number, and called up again. Then the number is not available anymore.
Ms. Hilde Ebeltoft-Skaugrud says to Drammens Tidende that they have received several similar messages from Oslo.
When people came on the door and posing to be repairmen that wanted in, ” says Ebeltoft-Skaugrud.
the Southern Buskerud police district informs on Sunday evening to TV 2 that they have not logged the event.
