Erlend Bratland, born in Kvinnherad and raised in Haugesund, was the first artist out in the Norwegian final of Eurovision Saturday night. He performed the song “Thunderstruck.”

In advance he was one of the favorites, and was last touted by the four who would sing again and fight for victory.

The other three were Tor Endresen and Elisabeth Andreassen, Staysman & amp; Lazz and Morland and Debrah Scarlett.

Bratland was the participant who received the most votes from both North Norway, Central Norway and Western Norway, but populous eastern Norway would rather have a scorched pizza.

Morland and Scarlett won with “A Monster Like Me”.

This is thus Norway’s representative in the international final in Vienna.

Bratland got reasonably good feedback after opening the show.

VG reviewer Stein Østbø wrote among other things: “Here he takes a small step towards a favorite stamp. Erlend stands alone under the spotlights in all black and compels attention to themselves, and only he. The opening is voting purposes slightly tam – the verse is a little too low for his voice – but when the chorus opens and he gets volume nonetheless has a strong place, we get an international taste of greatness. “

Dagbladet gave Bratland dice wood.
