Chris Evans withdraws from Top Gear – TV 2

There is little doubt that the new Top Gear boss had big shoes to fill. He has teamed with, among others Friends actor Matt LeBlanc led Top Gear season, by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May thanks for them.

There have been low viewing figures after Clarkson and the gang gave up. Only 1.9 million viewers watched the last episode.

Now confirm Evans himself that he withdraws from Top Gear after six episodes.

“I’m out now from Top Gear. I gave it my best, but sometimes this is not enough. The team around me is extremely talented and I wish them luck, “he writes.

Monday the BBC Director Mark Linsey a statement.

– Chris now leaving their responsibilities to Top Gear. He says he tried his best to do everything he could to make the show successful. He believes that the right people are now again, both the production and the presenter. He believes they can take the program forward and make it the success it should be said the statement.

Even before the premiere, it emerged that there had been a number of challenges during the recording. The opening was also delayed. The ratings were lower than expected, although each episode was watched by an average of 4.4 million viewers.

Both viewers and reviewers have been particularly critical of the broadcaster Chris Evans.

Neither BBC chief Kate Phillips must have been pleased with the program manager. She should have reprimanded Evans so powerful, that he, according to The Mirror had not experienced anything like this before.

She has stated that Evans should be less controlling and micromanaging all the others. If Evans will not be part of it, shall Phillips have said that he can find something else to do.
