For Dagbladet she explains that she wrote the post to get more readers to your blog.
– I did it primarily to make it easier for myself. I want to use the blog as a tool, and it’s important for me to have an unfiltered and personal blog. I would emphasize that it is allowed to say that one is not ready, and it is allowed to talk about it even though it is a taboo subject, she said.
Eriksen says she has been exclusively positive messages in the comments, but she was a little afraid of what people would say.
– I am afraid that someone will think that I encourage abortion, but I do not. The decision I took was right for me and I think it is positive to talk about it, she said.
24-year-old from Sarpsborg says she prepared for a lot of criticism after the blog post was published.
– I prepared mentally to criticism, for there are many who oppose abortion, and it is a taboo to talk loudly about, she said.
– Not Ready
In the blog post explains Eriksen that she felt ready to become a mother.
“It is easy to judge decisions like this to think that this is selfish. For me it would have been much more selfish to carry forward a child to meet the other’s desire that I should keep it, “ writes Eriksen.
She thought, however carefully before she took the final choice whether to have an abortion.
– I went a thousand rounds of myself inside my head, and spoke with boyfriend, friends and family, she says to Dagbladet continues:
– In retrospect, I feel that I’m done with it, and that decision I took was right for me. I feel relieved to be done with it. Now I look ahead.

Deputy general manager of Sex and Society, Tore Holte Follestad, believes that it is important to talk about the topic abortion – wanted or unwanted.

Eriksen is not the first who have shared personal posts on your blog. Earlier, top blogs Sophie Elise Isachsen written a post on his blog, telling her that she had had an abortion at age 14.
Isachsen also testified that she did not want to be responsible for another life at that time, and the time after was tougher than she had imagined.
