(Page2): “Saruman” Lord of the Rings are confirmed dead, reports The Independent.
Actor Sir Christopher Lee was 93 years old, and is today best known for his role as the sorcerer “Saruman” in LOTR.
He died in hospital Westminister Hospital in London on Wednesday night, after having been hospitalized for three weeks for respiratory and cardiac problems.
The Telegraph reports that Lady Lee chose to delay the public announcement to the rest of the family was informed about the death.
Film Legend
Christopher Lee has a long acting career on his conscience, with a filmography that began already in 1948 with his role in the film adaptation of Hamlet.
He also played the role of “Count Dokuu” in the latest Star Wars movies, “Scaramanga” in the klasiske James Bond movie “The Man with the Golden Gun “and Dracula in the movie of the same name.
It was especially Dracula, or the so-called Hammer films, which made Lee a big horror icon. Although he was concerned that he did much more than that.

Previously, Lee has been a soldier, and served during World War II in the Royal Air Force. He was also knighted in 2009, and knighted for his efforts. Therefore, he now term “Sir” in front of the rest of the name.
