Rubicon CEO: Have not decided to put down “Lily Hammer” – NRK

Until now it has been made and sent three seasons of the successful TV series produced by Rubicon for NRK.

The first time we met the half weird gang was in 2012, and in the past years the series has been seen by around one million Norwegian viewers, and was sold to 130 countries.

Suggests series-exit

Now it may be ultimately we believe the main character himself. For yesterday la namely Van Zandt out this message on Twitter:

– Not my decision. Let provisional only say that business was too complicated. Very proud of our 24 episodes. New ideas are on the way, writes Van Zandt.

We determine

Director of Rubicon, Pål Kristiansen Kruke, said in interviews last night that he did not understand what Van Zandt said with Twitter message he laid out.

He does not understand anything more today.

– There is nothing more formal new has happened in this matter like that we see it.

Rubicon boss says they have an open and good dialogue with all parties and that they constantly had an agreement to talk over the summer.

– Should there be any end to the series because it is a pure content decision. When deciding all parties that there is no more left to tell. It’s NRK and Rubicon that are licensees. We choose together with the authors of the series we’ll make more, he said.

Decisions taken this autumn

Rubicon boss say then very clear today that it is not taken any decision what will happen to the series further.

– Had you known about it was put an end to the series?

– yes!

– When taken a decision on it will be made a season 4?

– We have not started some processes around new season. The authors engaged in other projects and we in Rubicon, which has been operated by “Lily Hammer” since 2011, it seems good with a little break. But in the autumn, we must make a decision, says Pål Kristiansen Kruke.

Squat with Netflix

In January it was announced that a dispute between the US company Netflix and NRK could do that there was some season four of “Lilyhammer”. Netflix shows series internationally and would be annoyed that NRK chose to lay out the whole season 3 on their websites.

The Rubicón director denies that this has anything to say for a possible abandonment of the project.

– There is no basis for saying that the conflict has something to say. We are of course dependent on external money. Last season was $ 120 million. Then we have the other parties, but there may be other than Netflix if we want to do it, says Pål Kristiansen Kruke.
