Sound engineer found 20 new tracks from pop king – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): It’s been more than six years since Michael Jackson died. And fans worldwide mourned the demise of their icon.

Last year revived Jackson as hologram on stage, and familiar faces in the audience took to tears.

Now it turns out that the fans can get new material from pop king. 20 new, unpublished songs created by Michael Jackson is newly discovered, according to the French newspaper Le Parisien.



The discovery of sound engineer

They have talked with the artist’s former sound engineer, Michael Durham Prince, who claims he has found 20 incomplete songs on their own computer. Prince claims that this is original works created by Jackson, but says that the songs lack titles and background vocals.

He is, according to the newspaper unsure what he will do with the material that has been found.

– I have no right to decide the titles of the songs, or to let someone hear them right now, he says.

Michael Durham Prince should have worked with Jackson from 1995 to his death in 2009 .

Omer Bhatti know of several songs

Omer Bhatti, aka artist “O-Bee,” is best known for his friendship with the late pop star.

He writes a sms Dagbladet that he knows about several unpublished Michael Jackson songs, but he is not sure what songs soundman now found.

– There will probably leak out tunes from him in years to come. It’s a little exciting, yet difficult to be happy with the thought that they probably have not had his “final blessing,” he writes about the discovery of the new Jackson songs.

Sony owns the rights

Music company Sony owns the rights to Jackson’s material, and has already released two discs after the artist’s death.
Under the agreement, Sony Music release up to seven albums in ten years including new or remixed Michael Jackson songs, writes Daily Mail.
