Princess Madeleine’s husband Chris O’Neill came with surprising revelation when his wife presented the name suggestions.

SEOGHØR.NO: Two days after the wedding between Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia was held in Stockholm on Saturday 13 June, was little prince Nicolas Paul Gustaf born in the Swedish capital.

Proud parents are Princess Madeleine (33) and the American businessman Chris O’Neill, and the newborn’s name was revealed two days after birth.

– Paul is chosen by Chris O’Neill’s father, while Gustaf thus comes from Princess Madeleine’s father. Nicolas is a family name of Bernadotte family, explained Expressen kongehusekspert Johan T. Lindvall when the choice of name was announced.

But in an interview with Expressen explains dad Chris O’Neill more about the origins of his son first name – and that it only Inspired by the Bernadotte family.

– Nicolas had Madeleine clearly for itself from the beginning, and it suited me the very good. For my name was actually Nicolas in one day. I came into the world, and my father was with the evening. But then he was forced to take off, and when he came home the day after my mother said that I should be called Nicolas. That it was the name she had come on. But then my father said: ‘Forget it, he’s a Christopher! “And so it was Christopher.

Prince baptized autumn

– Baptism being in Sweden. We look at several different dates. Now it’s not just the two that determines, for there are so many people who are involved in baptism, and the date we choose has to suit everyone.

Earlier this year it became known that the family of four moves from Stockholm to London, so the diligent businessman should not have so much commuting. Chris O’Neill has already moved to the British capital, and the plan is that the other three moves after the fall.

– Do not come home to a hotel

For the businessman, it is important that he has family nearby:

– Madeleine and I have taken a decision that we should stay in London for me to be able to safeguard dealerships. I will not come home to a hotel room at the end of day, I’d come home to my family. I want us to be able to eat dinner together. All the rest is not so important. It is I who provide food on the table. I must first and foremost think of my little family.

For Expressen explains O’Neill family will to stay in London, the city O’Neill was born on the 27th June 1974, at least for a couple of years into the future:

– There are at least a few years. I will of course that Madeleine and the children will be in Sweden as much as possible. We are going to be much in Sweden all together and Madeleine will attend the official tilstedninger in Sweden all the time. It is a good solution for all of us who are involved.

The family of four is thus in Princess Martha Louise and Ari Behn footsteps – who lived in London with her daughters in the period 2012 to 2014.
