Strong winds threatened Slottsfjellfestivalen – VG

Slottsfjell festival last day was marked by strong winds. Several concerts were torn away from the program.

– Now it safely on the mountain – the wind is down to proper strength. Kastellscenen opened as soon as possible, and MP player as planned, said press officer Siri Narverud Moen VG.

She and the rest of the festival goers in Tønsberg can thus breathe a sigh of relief: The weather’s had a solid grip on Slottsfjellfestivalen the last few hours.

The strong winds in the area make the festival closed by Slottsfjell plateau, joined the festival itself Saturday afternoon. It was Dagbladet who first publicized case.

The Irish band SOAK, British Lonely The Brave and Danish Baby In Vain did however move from respectively Tower Grove and Kastellscenen to P3 Untouched Scene. British in Echo And The Bunnymen were moved to Baglerscenen.

The festival’s press officer could report the good mood inside the area Saturday afternoon, despite the bitter wind and canceled concerts.

– But I hear the people talking about situation. The audience will thank you for being so patient! We have never had such a weather situation Slottsfjellfestivalen before, says Narverud Moen.

But now the MP prepared Kastellscenen, just half an hour before the original concert starts. The band is one of the festival’s big draws, and Slottsfjell audience gets the pleasure of hearing through album “Demon Box” in its entirety.

Vestfold police reports on Twitter that the festival has been expanded license to play because of windy and konsertavlysninger. The festival’s final day will therefore be able to last until one o’clock in the night.
