The lavish drama series “Nobel” is NRK’s development in TV front this fall.

– strong and important stories
Although the series is fiction, the director careful to point out that the drama often settles very close to reality.
– thousands of Norwegian soldiers have been in Afghanistan in recent years, and ten Norwegians have been killed down there, so it is strong and important stories to tell. We put ourselves as close to reality as we can, says Sorensen told NRK.
In the “Nobel” problematize writers missions Norwegians perform abroad, and the consequences for the people around them. TV veteran hopes series evokes reactions.
– I hope we cover issues Norwegian politicians and the media may sometimes reluctant to do. “Nobel” will be both entertaining and important to look at, says Sorensen.
– A Dream Project
Aksel Hennie plays protagonist Erling Riiser, operator associated with the Armed Forces Special Command. He returns home to Norway and his wife Johanne, but carries with it baggage that will affect your life at home.
Also Hennie is concerned that the series will generate debate as well as to entertain.
– Norway does not have a history of referring to herself as a war nation. We are a peaceful nation with peacekeepers, while demonstrably performing acts of war in countries other than our own. It should people are talking about, those who perform actions should be listened to, and their stories should be told.
The actor is full of praise for director Per Olav Sørensen and the other actors, and describes “Nobel” as “a dream project “.
– I’m very fond of and proud of the project. I had zero thoughts on anything other than to say yes when I read the script and got to know who should be involved, says Hennie.
– I hope the series we have created can be eaten popcorn and create good mood, but also that it takes up something that is important and that one can have a debate about.
