(Dagbladet): the Golden Globe awards last night was eventful. Several made jokes with Donald Trump from the scene, some took to tears and it wasn’t the lack of glitz and glamour on the red carpet.
“Modern Family”-star Sofia Vergara were among those who sparkled most during the awards ceremony. In a dress that left little to the imagination, she was also on the scene the night of Monday.
She had been commissioned to introduce his daughters to “Rocky”-star Sylvester Stallone – Sophia (20), Sistine (18) and Scarlet (14).
Together had the girls been given the title as this year’s “Miss Golden Globe”. The girls wore matching black dresses, and had the mission to escort the winners, dealers and artists of the scene.
When Vergara was to introduce the girls to the stage, it seemed that she had language deficits. It resulted in a joke that was, perhaps, a little on the edge for an awards ceremony held in prime time.
- Anal tradition
Vergara leave the after the event out a post on Instagram in which she disproved that it was a speech impediment that stood for the shocking joke. “I was only trying to get on a good an*s-gag”, she wrote.
from the stage liret she namely of several jokes that dealt with the ass and the anus.
- For the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, it is a the anal tradition, she said, and continued:
I didn’t mean… They have an anus tradition, proclaimed she.
It was in fact the word “annual” or yearly, the tv star tried to say from the stage, according to People who also have discussed the matter.
the Point did not fall in good soil at all. The Sun writes that more viewers went hard out against Vergara in social media.
“Umm, just got Sofia Vergara with an anal-gag before she introduced the two teenage girls? Did this happen somehow?”, wrote a viewer on Twitter.
“I’m glad we all agree that Sofia Vergaras anal-gag was cruel,” writes another.
Meryl out against Trump
Several actors, directors and producers could after tonight’s awarding adorn themselves with the title of Golden Globe-winner, but the one who already have has won the prestigious award throughout eight times and has been nominated 30 times, is veteran Meryl Streep (67).
It was therefore natural that the star, who has starred in big movies like “Mamma Mia”, “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Sophie’s Choice”, was honored with the honorary award during the awards ceremony.
Streep used his time on stage well. She had a script on multiple cards, and came with a kick to the including Donald Trump and immigration policy. She never used the name to when the president during his speech, but it was obvious to both the spectators in the audience and viewers at home that the star talked about him.
What triggered the Streeps tirade against Trump, was that he had bullied the New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who is disabled.
Trump gestured during one of his speeches against the journalist, who made headlines the world over. Streep describes it as last year’s most sensational event.
- Disrespect breeds up disrespect, violence begets up violence. When those with the most power uses its position to bully others, we lose all together, ” she said from the stage, according to Business Insider.
