Tooji himself said that love should be given priority, regardless of religion. And that many gays today feel that their love is not valued.

The video for “Father” recorded in Frogner Church in Oslo. The parish council agreed to Tooji after they had read a description of the video. They were aware that it was about gay love, but not that it should be so explicit.

VG writes that council leader in Frogner Church, Tellef Raustøl was meeting with producer and signed an agreement to remove the interior of the church from the video. It was not done.
On Monday, Oslo diocese out and called the use of church space in this way totally unacceptable – no matter what kind of orientation video had to show.

The video and Toojis stunt has received much support among familiar voices. One that is critical however Erlend Elias.

He believes the artist connects the video too much up to sex.

He emphasizes that people can come out as they will, but that he thinks it is wrong to make gay love synonymous with sex.

You can say what you want about this “use” of church premises, but that Bishop Kvarme opinion on what is acceptable or not, based on their attitudes to homosexuality, I think is completely unacceptable. Sacked from NRK
In an interview with Dagsrevyen then told Tooji Monday that he was fired from NRK. NRK gave him the choice to lead the MGP jr. and outputting video.
