Sweden is the winner of Eurovision 2015 – Dagbladet.no

VIENNA / OSLO (Dagbladet): – We are all heroes, says Måns Zelmerlöw, while holding the trophy high above his head.

The votes are counted, and the result is clear: big favorite Sweden expectations with song “Heroes” and is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.

It’s the sixth time Sweden go ashore victory the international song contest, just three years after Looreen won in Azerbaijan.

Halfway through voting it was clear that the battle for victory would stand between Russian Polina Gagarina and Swedish Måns Zelmerlöw.

But after a little rough points giving the first half, it became clear that victory would go to söta brother.



Shear Sure victory

Norway never reached in the battle for the big scores. Finally ended Morland & amp; Debrah Scarlett with the song “A Monster Like Me,” the eighth. It is the same place as Carl Espen Thorbjørnsen landed on last year.

– We are very pleased. Top ten was the goal, so this is just fantastic, says Debrah Scarlett and Kjetil Morland to Dagbladet after the final.

– We are not disappointed and would just like to congratulate Sweden and Måns says Scarlett.

The Swedes have rarely been so cocksure of victory in Eurovision that year.

Even before the finals tonight proclaimed the Swedish newspaper Expressen homeland Måns Zelmerlöws “Heroes” as the winner of the competition.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. The question is whether “Heroes” succeeded to keep the other away tonight, “wrote Expressen before the final.



Sweden was big favorite

Vienna has stood on its head last week.

Artists, journalists and fans from around the world have gathered in to Austrian capital to attend the singing contest, all in their own way.

In the week before finals, it’s the Swedes Måns Zelmerlöw who have led the way at the bookmakers with Russia and Italy just behind. Norway has been on syvende- and eighth place.

When Norway stood on the stage showed our neighbors that they once again have nothing wrong with self-confidence, and called Norway’s performance of “monotonous”.

The planning around the upcoming Grand Prix attachment-retained in Sweden is already well underway.

Expressen revealed tonight that Måns Zelmerlöw and national TV channel SVT is already having secret meetings about how to handle victory as they virtually had taken beforehand.



Australia with for the first time

Eurovision celebrated this year 60 anniversary, and brought therefore an honorable guest, namely Australia. Competition is very popular in Australia, despite it being broadcast on TV at night.

Australia’s contribution this year was Guy Sebastian with the song “Tonight Again.”

This year’s show was headed by the the Austrian TV profiles Mirjam Weichselbraun, Alice Tumble and Arabella Kiesbauer. Last year’s winner, Conchita Wurst (26), opened the show and was also this year’s green room host.
