But can we really?
No, according to Aftonbladet.
– They do not add flavor
The manufacturer Cloetta will not even reveal whether the cars supplied to different tastes, but Carmina Ionescu in National Food Administration has tested the candy, and she can tell that cars containing the same ingredients. The only difference is two dyes.
– They do not add any flavor at all, says Ionescu to Aftonbladet.
Vision may fool you
Gerhard Andersson, professor of psychology at the University of Linköping , believes that one can taste a difference – psychologically.
– Taste is not just taste. It’s about smell, color and texture as well. Colors can certainly affect the taste experience, he said.
But in a blind test, it must therefore be impossible to tell the difference between candy.
Difference in Non Stop
Not so with all the candy, according Nysgjerrigper.no. Freia Non Stop consists of five different flavors: Raspberry (red Non Stop), pineapple and apple (green), lemon (yellow), orange (orange) and vanilla (brown and black).
Love Hearts also have different flavors: vanilla (white), lemon (yellow), lime (green), orange (orange), berries (purple) and cherry (red).
