(Dagbladet): Jan E. Knight (79) and Silvia Leine (62) has been popular TV name through NRK series “Sofa.”
The two celebrates summer 30th wedding anniversary, but in an interview with Here and Now they reveal that they got a challenge when they decided to marry.
Since Jan had been married twice before, would not neither of the two priests who had devoted him do it igen when he was getting married for the third time.
Finally chose the couple to travel to San Francisco in the US to get married in the Norwegian Seamen’s Church there.
Silvia says to Here and Now that it was she who proposed, three years after they met each other for the first time.
– Jan dared not do anything but say yes, because he had not afford to buy ten pair of leather gloves that men supposedly had if you said no to a marriage proposal, she says with laughter to the blade.
Earlier this year, told Jan to Dagbladet that he in 2004 discovered by chance that he had been adopted and has eight siblings.
– To go from being an only child my whole life to get four sisters and four brothers, it has been absolutely fantastic. Now we have a very good relationship with everyone, and is often on tours with them. It has been an adventure. We have got a new life, said Jan said.
